Internal Only – Maintenance Worker/ Welder
The Albuquerque Metropolitan Arroyo Flood Control Authority (AMAFCA) has an available position for a Maintenance Worker/ Welder.
Under general guidance and direction from the Maintenance Superintendent the primary responsibility of this position is to perform welding and fabrication of gates, railings, and other structural components. When not engaged in welding and fabrication duties, the employee performs the functions of a Maintenance Worker-Operator, including a variety of semi-skilled manual tasks related to the maintenance and repair of AMAFCA’s flood control facilities. The position also involves the operation of various motorized light and heavy equipment, machinery, and power tools used in construction and maintenance activities. This employee works as part of the maintenance team to help ensure that AMAFCA facilities are safe and operational. Related duties may be assigned as necessary.
This position starting pay is $27.55 per hour, based on qualifications, and a full benefits package. The selected internal candidate must meet all qualifications and requirements of the position and may be required to satisfy position-specific requirements in accordance with AMAFCA policy.
