Protecting life and property since 1963, the Albuquerque Metropolitan Arroyo Flood Control Authority (AMAFCA) is a public agency serving the Albuquerque Community.  Our mission is to ensure safety and to eliminate/minimize property damage by building and maintaining effective Albuquerque flood control structures.  We need someone who wants to be part of this important team that provides these vital services to the Albuquerque community.

The Albuquerque Metropolitan Arroyo Flood Control Authority (AMAFCA) is currently seeking a maintenance worker.  Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years’ experience truck driving in the construction field, and 2 years’ experience in general construction. A valid New Mexico Driver’s License with no major restrictions and the ability to obtain and maintain a valid New Mexico Class A Commercial Driver’s License within eighteen (18) months of employment is required.  In addition to truck driving, other duties will include concrete removal and replacement, fence, guardrail and pipe rail installation, rip rap work, brush removal, mowing, and operating equipment.  Salary range is $36,000-$49,000 depending on experience.
