Conceptual Site Plan for Valle de Oro NWR

AMAFCA is poised to substantially complete this phase of construction of the Valle de Oro Drainage Facility. The Valle de Oro Swale Project involves creation of one 600-foot wide and one 200-foot-wide drainage swales which will connect to the Valle de Oro Outlet Structure and a weir/crossing structure at the Barr Interior Drain.  Construction on the Swale Project began in Fall 2021 and is substantially completed. Please visit the Valle de Oro Wildlife Refuge website for updates on major changes to the Valle de Oro Wildlife Refuge access for visitors. For a live view of the Valle de Oro Outlet Structure and towards the Swale construction, visit the AMAFCA webpage for Arroyo-Cam here under the Valle de Oro Outlet Structure East View and West View tabs.
